About Shannon

From the moment I clutched my first paint brush, drawing an imaginative (though, admittedly, a whimsical) portrait of my Granny in pre-primary school and winning my first art award, I’ve known that art was my way of understanding and engaging with the world. That early recognition of my creative voice sparked a journey that has been driven by curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep hunger to continually evolve—both as an artist and an individual.

Now, as an A-level Fine Art student, I am building on this early passion by exploring art as more than just a creative outlet but as a tool for intellectual and emotional inquisitiveness. Studying Fine Art alongside Psychology and Biology has expanded my understanding of how art interacts with the world in profound and diverse ways. These subjects, though seemingly distinct, have each influenced my creative process, helping me develop a multidisciplinary approach to art.

Personal growth, for me, has been closely tied to my artistic journey. From that first portrait to the intricate, concept–driven projects I create now, art has been a mirror reflecting my evolution as a thinker and creator. Over time, I have learned that growth comes from stepping outside of my comfort zone, taking creative risks, and embracing the process of refinement. This commitment to progress defines me not only as a creative but also as someone who leads with curiosity and determination. The drive to explore new ideas, challenge myself, and evolve through every step of my personal and artistic journey, shapes the way I approach both my work and my outlook on life.
